Ukraine's Oschadbank developing alternative to Russia's 1C accounting software

Chairman of state-run Oschadbank's board Andriy Pyshnyy says that his bank plans to provide a platform that will replace the Russian 1C accounting software, which was sanctioned by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, according to Novoye Vremya Business.

The bank has been developing an SMB-oriented system, which is an advanced online banking platform for small- and medium-sized businesses, he said, Novoye Vremya Business reported.

Now this system is being tested at the bank's three regional branches and it will go national in the next few months, he said.

"Our CorpLite system features, among other things, an accounting module. This means that being our client, you will be able not only to transfer money, you'll be able to handle managerial, financial and accounting operations," the banker said.

And by the end of 2017 entrepreneurs will be able to drop the use of the Russian 1C software for accountants, which is subject to NSDC sanctions.

According to Pyshnyy, all systems operated by Oschadbank have consciously been cleared of dangerous external impacts, in particular, the Russian one in the past three years. "Therefore, we are not only ready for this decision [the sanctions against Russian companies and products] – we have introduced this concept long ago," he said.
