"The amount [of tranche] is determined during the consideration ... It may be in the summer or early autumn. We must be ready for this," the minister said.

When asked whether the tranche amount will exceed US$1 billion, the minister answered in the affirmative.

"We need to fulfill all the obligations to get the next tranche, to change the pension system, to launch the agrarian market and privatization. This is primarily necessary for us," Danyliuk said.

"We plan to enter the market after the IMF's decision to provide the next tranche. This is a positive signal, followed by investors," he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the IMF Executive Board on April 3 completed the third review of the EFF. On April 5, the National Bank of Ukraine announced the receipt of $1 billion from the IMF, which together with the second disbursement of the European Union macro-financial assistance received the day before allowed the expansion of the country's international reserves to $16.7 billion, the highest level since the middle of 2014.

S&P Global Ratings expects that Ukraine is likely to receive a new disbursement from the International Monetary Fund, and the related financing of external donors in the second half of 2017 subject to progress in land and pension reforms.
