Ukraine's PGO finds $237.4 mln hole in defense budget

The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) has found that the receivables of suppliers to the Defense Ministry increased by UAH 2.4 billion, or US$93.4 million, in 2016, having reached a record UAH 6.1 billion, or $237.4 million, according to DT.UA online news portal.

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko provided the relevant data in his letter to Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman sent in mid-July, DT.UA reports.

It is noted that the debt accounted for 11% of annual funding, while the overdue debt reached UAH 755 million, or $29.4 million.
