The National Bank of Ukraine for Wednesday, August 23, lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by one kopiyka, bringing the national currency to UAH 25.45 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for August 23:
$100 costs UAH 2,545.1704 (on August 22, it was UAH 2,544.3168);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,995.9201 (on August 22, it was UAH 2,992.3710);
10 RUB costs UAH 4.3110 (on August 22, it was UAH 4.3021).

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 29.91/29.94, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4301/0.4310.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 25.4517 to the dollar, with 530 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $318.26 million.
