Accounting Chamber: Ukraine's economy grows by 2.4% in 1H 2017

The growth of real GDP in Ukraine in January-June 2017 accounted for 2.4% year-over-year, according to the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine.

In the first half of the year, the revenues of the state budget for this period reached UAH 394.910 billion, which is 53.3% of the annual plan and 48.7% up year-over year, as noted in the conclusion of the Accounting Chamber on the state of implementation of the Law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2017" 

At the same time, the Accounting Chamber says that the higher level of implementation of the annual income plan is due to the transfer to a special fund of confiscated assets and funds received from the sale of property confiscated by court decisions in corruption-related offenses in the amount that exceeded the target by 2.6 times.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's GDP in the first quarter of 2017 increased by 2.5% compared to the same period of 2016.

The International Monetary Fund forecasts that Ukraine's GDP growth in 2017 will be at 2% in 2018 at 3.2% and in 2019 at 3.5%.
