The European Parliament on Wednesday, September 13, has signed a decision on granting Ukraine additional trade preferences, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
The document was signed by President of the European Parliament Antonio Thajni and Deputy Minister for EU Affairs of Estonia, the country now chairing the EP, Matti Maasikas.
The ceremony was also attended by the rapporteur of the European Parliament on the issue, Jaroslaw Walesa.
The document will enter into force after it is published in the Official Journal of the EU, expectedly before the end of September.

According to the agreements reached, quotas for tomatoes, wheat, corn and honey will be increased, but not in the same amount as previously proposed by the European Commission. Urea is excluded from the proposals. In particular, the following annual quotas are set: 2,500 tonnes for honey, 3,000 tonnes for processed tomatoes, 65,000 tonnes for wheat, 625,000 tonnes for maise, and 325,000 tonnes for barley.
