Kyiv's Pechersky District Court has ordered Public Joint-Stock Company "State Savings Bank of Ukraine" (Oschadbank) to show bank accounts with money deposited by former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
Judge Larysa Sokol passed this decision to satisfy a motion initiated by Yanukovych's lawyer Vitaliy Serdyuk at hearings on a claim filed by the ex-president against Oschadbank Governor Andriy Pyshny regarding the dissemination of untrue information about US$1.15 billion stored by Yanukovych in the bank accounts.
"The court decided to request details about the assets kept in Viktor Yanukovych's bank accounts opened with PJSC State Savings Bank of Ukraine, as well as securities that are purchased and/or kept on behalf of Yanukovych at the said bank as of November 10, 2016," reads the document.
During the consideration of the motion, Serdyuk said that Yanukovych holds UAH 31,470,675.64 (about $1.2 million) and $84,964.60 in his Oschadbank accounts.
At the same time, Oshadbank's representatives insisted on turning down the motion, as, in their opinion, it involves bank secrecy. Moreover, Pyshny's defendant claimed the motion was unrelated to the subject of the dispute.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the ex-president's defense stated in April that he did not have such funds as was stated by the prosecutor's office.
"We also filed a lawsuit against Oschadbank Governor Andriy Pyshny on February 27, 2017, for distributing false information about more than $1.15 billion allegedly kept in Oschadbank accounts by Viktor Yanukovych. On April 10, the Pechersky District Court started hearings on this case," Serdyuk said.
