World Bank President Jim Yong Kim has begun a two-day visit to Ukraine and is set to meet with the country's leadership, according to Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk, who invited Jim Kim to Ukraine.
"World Bank President Jim Kim began a two-day visit to Ukraine today. During the meeting in Washington, I invited him to visit Ukraine to see the changes taking place in our country and to evidence the significant role of the World Bank in these changes," Danyliuk wrote on Facebook.
According to him, Kim is now having breakfast with representatives of agribusinesses, to discuss ways to increase productivity in the agricultural sector, and Ukraine's role in global food security.
