"The issue of Ryanair disappeared from public discourse, but the work is ongoing, there is good progress, and I believe that they will fly to Ukraine," Omelyan said.

"Moreover, I think that this year there will be some more pleasant news about new Ukrainian carriers. I think that the market is developing so dynamically that it is a very clear indicator for many companies that it is worth investing here," he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on July 10 Ryanair canceled the planned entrance to the Ukrainian market. The company said that the Boryspil airport  sided with airlines which offer high tariffs, including "Ukraine International Airlines."

The Boryspil airport, in turn, said that the Irish company put forward demands that can not be met. In addition, airport CEO Pavlo Ryabikin said that because of Ryanair's ultimatum, Boryspil could incur losses worth UAH 2 billion.

On July 13, it became known that the Boryspil airport decided to resume negotiations with Ryanair.
