Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says the Cabinet intends to demonopolize the natural gas market in Ukraine and ensure its transparency with the newly appointed supervisory board of the National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine, according to the governmental press service.
"I am interested in the transparency of the gas market and fair price formation," the prime minister said.
Demonopolization and formation of an efficient fuel market are the major challenges of Naftogaz as the country's largest energy company, he added.

According to Groysman, the board's principal objectives will be ensuring the company's efficiency, conducting a rapid separation of supplies, production and trading, providing a sharp increase in gas output, income, and budget revenues, as well as cost reduction and maximum demonopolization of the Ukrainian gas market.
