Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin says Ukraine and Israel may sign an agreement on a free trade area (FTA) in March-April 2018, according to the Canadian organization Ukrainian Jewish Encounter (UJE).
"Such negotiations need time. Our negotiations with the European Union have lasted for seven years. The agreement with Israel is almost ready. I hope that in early 2018, all legal aspects will be specified and we will meet at a bilateral commission in March-April to put a decisive end to this subject. We need to work on developing bilateral trade and attracting Israeli investment," Klimkin told UJE.
According to the minister, both countries have great prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, while Ukraine is willing to work with Israeli businesses.
