In turn, Ehnberg said that in such a way the Council of Europe would be able to continue, in cooperation with the Ukrainian government, the reforms in the judicial system, decentralization and other fields during the transition period.

In his words, it is very important that the work on the achievements of the current three-year action plan would continue, because each subsequent action plan takes into account the advances of the previous one, and is implemented on their basis.

The ambassador recalled that Norway had allocated EUR 3.6 million for the implementation of the 2015-2017 Action Plan for Ukraine (EUR 1 million per year for three years and additional contributions in 2016). Furthermore, Norway provided guarantees of extra support to the tune of EUR 950,000 in 2017 to support the transition period.
