The mining administration of the German town of Stralsund has allowed the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, Deutsche Welle reports.
It is about the permission for construction on a part of Germany's continental shelf. The Ministry of Energy of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern federal land has confirmed the report, saying that the permission was adopted on November 2, DW wrote.
A representative of Nord Stream 2 operator has called this the first step toward obtaining a general permit from Germany.
