Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed amendments to the law that allow members of the so-called "Crimean Free Economic Zone" to extract groundwater, according to the document, published on Russia's official Internet portal of legal information.
"The members of the free economic zone are not entitled to carry out activities in the sphere of subsoil use for purposes of exploration and mining of minerals. That's except for the extraction of groundwater, which is used for drinking, domestic water supply, and provision of industrial or agricultural facilities with water; as well as with the exception of the exploration and extraction of natural curative resources for sanatorium and resort treatment, and recreation needs," reads the document.
