Ukraine's Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons has revealed international car brands working in Russian-occupied Crimea in circumvention of sanctions introduced by the European Union and the United States over the illegal annexation of the peninsula.
"While monitoring how the legal status is observed in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, experts working for the ministry revealed facts of the use of such international car markers' brands as Nissan, Toyota, Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Kia Motors, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Skoda, Isuzu, Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW), Renault, Lexus and dealerships' full-scale operation in temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, including the sale of cars of the said brands, registration of documents, maintenance, the sale of proprietary components, warranty servicing, etc.," the ministry said.

"Taking into account the above-mentioned, the ministry asked the authorities to adopt measures envisaged by the law aimed at protecting independence, state sovereignty, security, territorial integrity and inviolability of the state border, Ukraine's national interests," the ministry said.
The ministry had earlier revealed facts of illegal activities of DHL Express, Adidas AG, Puma SE in Crimea and Sevastopol.
