The average price of apartments on Kyiv's secondary market in December 2017 rose by 4.5%, to UAH 34,860 per square meter, while the prices in the dollar equivalent fell by 0.6%, to $1,235 per square meter, according to the Ukrainian property news outlet 100realty.ua.
Since the beginning of 2017, the average price of apartments on Kyiv's secondary market has decreased by 0.6%, whereas it dropped by 5.6% in the dollar equivalent, 100realty.ua said.
According to analysts, the prices in the premium housing segment decreased by 0.7% in the hryvnia equivalent, while economy-class flats went down in price by 2.6%. The prices in U.S. dollars went down by 5.8% and by 7.6%, respectively.

The average price of apartments in Kyiv in U.S. dollars decreased in all city districts in December 2017. Prices in the capital's Pechersky district declined most – by 1.4%.
The number of apartments for sale on the secondary market decreased by 2.7% to 19,357 in December 2017 from November 2017.
One-room apartments account for 27% of the total number of flats on the secondary market, while the share of two-room apartments is 32%, that of three-room apartments is 34% and four-room apartments account for 7%.
At the same time, the average cost of apartments on Kyiv's primary real estate market rose by 0.4% in December 2017 from November 2017, to UAH 23,713 per square meter, whereas the prices soared by 3.2% in the last months of 2017 y-o-y.
According to experts, the average price of business class apartments on Kyiv's primary market in December 2017 rose by 2.2%, to UAH 32,665 per square meter, while that of premium class increased by 1%, to UAH 49,112 per square meter, and the price of economy class apartments grew by 0.2%, to UAH 17,390 per square meter. At the same time, comfort-class apartments went down in price by 0.4%, to UAH 21,641 per square meter.
Kyiv's Obolonsky, Pechersky and Holosiyivsky districts saw a considerable price hike for apartments, that is by 4.7%, 2.4%, and 1.6%, respectively, while the price of apartments in Shevchenkivsky and Dniprovsky districts decreased by 0.7% and 0.5%, respectively.
