Actual revenue of Ukraine's 2017 budget 2.7% up on target

The actual revenue of Ukraine's national budget for 2017 was UAH 792.9 billion, or US$28.43 billion, which was 2.7% up on the annual target, according to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry.

"The revenue of the national budget stood at UAH 792.9 billion. The annual target was executed by 102.7%, an excess revenue is UAH 21.1 billion, or $757 million. Some UAH 7.1 billion arrived from confiscation. Own earnings of budget organizations amounted to UAH 12.8 billion," the ministry said.

Budget expenditures in 2017 amounted to UAH 836.5 billion, which was 0.6% lower than the annual target, yet, they were 22.1% up on expenditures in 2016.

"Priority spending for the state in 2017 included those on the social sphere, defense and security, and public debt servicing. All priority areas were financed in full in 2017 in accordance with the target figures," the ministry noted.
