The U.S.-based Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is ready to assist Ukraine in the establishment of the Financial Investigation Service (FIS), according to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry's press service.
The relevant agreement was reached at the meeting of Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk and FinCEN Deputy Director Jamal El-Hindi in the United States.

Jamal El-Hindi said that FinCEN would actively monitor the establishment of the FIS in Ukraine, the only body to combat financial crimes against the state.
The ministry also reminded that agreements on training for the FIS employees had been also reached with the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and the Italian Ministry of Finance.
