Gas price: Naftogaz-Gazprom talks on Stockholm Arbitration award to start shortly

Ukraine’s national oil and gas holding Naftogaz of Ukraine and Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom are soon to launch negotiations on the implementation of decisions taken by the Stockholm Arbitration within the framework of the contract for the purchase of Russian gas, according to Yuriy Vitrenko, a chief commercial officer at Naftogaz, an UNIAN correspondent reports.

"Negotiations will be starting now, in the next few days. We will not disclose any details but we are talking about the implementation of the final award on the gas supply contract," Vitrenko said.

The official also recalled that according to the decision by the Stockholm Arbitration, Gazprom’s price of gas for Ukraine should be lower than the cost of gas coming from the EU with the cost of gas transmission from Europe to Ukraine.
