Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk says the ministry is considering the possibility of removing Estonia and Latvia from the list of states whose transactions are subject to transfer pricing control.
According to the minister, these European countries were included in this list due to the fact that profit tax was set at 0% in those countries, as it was replaced by tax on capital withdrawals.
"This is due to the fact that the tax on capital withdrawals has been introduced in those countries. The Ministry of Finance will look for opportunities to fix this problem and we are in contact with both the embassies and the financial departments of the countries," Danyliuk said during a Q&A session in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, January 19.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine on January 1 put Estonia on a watchlist of countries that it finds help businesses and individuals avoid paying tax.
