Ukraine's Carpathian bees to reinforce Canadian bee populations – Canada's ambassador

Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Waschuk has announced Carpathian bees from western Ukraine will be used to reinforce Canadian bee populations that are on the verge of extinction.

Canada's Niagara Beeway project, which aims at restoring and preserving the native habitat in Canada, will partner with the Ukrainian beekeepers. The project's objectives also include measures to develop practices to promote native species biodiversity and exchange ideas to enhance appreciation of the local ecology.

Noteworthy, numerous researchers report a reduction in bee populations across North America.
