"Reasonably good statistics [on the COVID-19 incidence rate] allow us to launch some stages [of the easing of lockdown restrictions] earlier. For example, the launch of municipal and commuter transportation will be considered today at a government meeting, which is expected to commission the services from [May] 22. So far, we cannot provide transportation between the regions since only six of them are ready for this. Only six regions demonstrate normal statistics, where there is a decrease in the number of [COVID-19] cases," the president said at a press conference on May 20, as reported by an UNIAN correspondent.

As was reported, the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Ukraine was 19,230 on Wednesday morning. Of them, 354 cases were reported in the past 24 hours. The death toll was 564 cases.
