Ukrainian customs agency fulfills July plans

Last month's figure was 17% up on that registered in the previous month.

Ukraine's State Customs Service says it fulfilled its July 2020 plans, which were set by the country's Finance Ministry.

In July 2020, it transferred UAH 31.3 billion (US$1.13 billion), which was UAH 4.6 billion (US$165.83 million), or 17% up on June 2020, the agency's press service said.

"The State Customs Service continues to successfully fulfill the action plan to fill the budget revenue gap, which has formed since the beginning of the year. Thanks to the organizational measures and management decisions taken, better monitoring of the customs value, the classification of goods, the State Customs Service ensured the implementation of indicative figures during June and July this year," the press service quoted acting Head of the State Customs Service Ihor Muratov as saying.

According to the report, the indicator in July compared to June was UAH 5.3 billion, or US$191.06 million (20.5%) up, to UAH 31.1 billion, or US$1.12 billion.

Average daily receipts in July were UAH 1.36 billion, or US$49.03 million, which was 1.8% up on June.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the customs-administered revenue expected in the first half of 2020 fell short of UAH 34 billion, or US$1.22 billion (21.4%) and that administered by the tax service was UAH 1.7 billion, or US$61.28 million (0.6%) behind the target, according to the country's Audit Chamber.
