The State Customs Service of Ukraine has launched a pilot project on customs clearance of declarations in automatic mode aimed at simplifying the customs clearance procedure and creating favorable conditions for subjects of foreign economic activity.

So far, this project will be implemented for three customs regimes, namely export, processing in the customs territory, and re-export (after processing), according to the agency's press service.

"The so-called automatic issue of declarations will now be tested for these regimes. It provides for the possibility of automatic processing of customs declarations without the participation of customs officials," it said.

In particular, if declarations meet certain criteria and are assessed as low-risk ones, they will be sent by the registration system to a separate window. If a customs declaration contains risks or is selected by an automated risk analysis and management system, its customs clearance will continue as usual. If the system does not detect mistakes and risks, the declaration will be issued automatically, and a declarant will get a corresponding message.

The press service stressed the procedure for submitting declarations remains unchanged.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on April 15, the State Customs Service of Ukraine launched nine new sections of an interactive analytics portal, which contains information on the volume of exports and imports of Ukraine with any country and for any commodity.

In addition, the Customs Service in a trial mode joined the TradeLens blockchain platform, which allows users to monitor the movement of sea cargo.
