Moldova has become a new and promising area for the enterprise's electricity sales abroad.
Ukraine's nuclear power giant, State Enterprise NNEGC Energoatom, says it has supplied the first batch of electricity generated by domestic nuclear power plants (NPPs), to Moldova.
In total, 14.9 GWh of electricity will be exported to that country in October 2020, the company's press service said on October 1.

"Moldova has become a new and promising area for the enterprise's electricity exports. This first step will help establish long-term cooperation, which will contribute to reliable power supplies to the neighboring countries southwestwards," the press service said.
At the same time, Energoatom is exploring additional opportunities for electricity exports to the countries of northern Europe and the Baltic states.
On September 25, 2020, Energoatom-Trading (the company's separate subdivision) sold 14.9 GWh of base load electricity on the Ukrainian Energy Exchange at a weighted average price of UAH 1,017 (US$35.92) per MWh (excluding VAT).
The electricity supply/take-off period is October 1-31, 2020.
According to the contract, the electricity is to be sold or delivered beyond Ukraine. At the same time, the buyer must independently provide access to interstate sections.
