Hryvnia keeps sliding: fresh rates for Oct 2

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for October 2 at UAH 28.33 to the U.S. dollar, thus weakening the country's national currency by two kopiykas.

The official forex rate against the euro for Friday is fixed at UAH 33.33 per euro – the hryvnia lost 17 kopiykas in value since Thursday, according to the NBU website.

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,833.43 (UAH 2,831.05 as of October 1);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,332.82 (UAH 3,316.43 as of October 1).

Interbank rate

By 16:00 Kyiv time on October 1, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 28.33/28.35 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 33.33/33.35.

The National Bank set the official forex rate for October 1 at UAH 28.31 to the U.S. dollar, a kopiyka weaker against the previous day.
