Hryvnia weakens against dollar on Oct 1

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday was set at UAH 33.16.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for October 1 at UAH 28.31 to the U.S. dollar, thus weakening the country's national currency by one kopiyka.

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday was set at UAH 33.16 – a three-kopiyka loss to Wednesday, according to the NBU website.

The central bank has fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for October 1:

Interbank rate

By 16:00 Kyiv time, hryvnia quotes to the dollar on the interbank forex market settled at UAH 28.28/28.30 to the dollar, while those against the euro stood at UAH 33.11/33.14.

The National Bank set the official forex rate for September 30 at UAH 28.30 to the U.S. dollar, a kopiyka weaker against the previous day.
