Kyiv will get the money, taking into account the time difference and the speed of passage of funds in international payment systems.

Alternate Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund for Ukraine Vladyslav Rashkovan says the Fund has already sent the first tranche of US$2.1 billion to Ukraine under an 18-month Stand-by Arrangement (SBA).

"The first tranche of US$2.1 billion has already been sent to Ukraine – it will be in the government accounts, taking into account the time difference and the speed of passage of funds in international payment systems," he wrote on Facebook.

Rashkovan added the Ukrainian SBA was the first new structural program approved by the IMF Executive Board on March 26 when the Fund started working amid quarantine.

Moreover, US$5 billion of the Ukrainian SBA has been the highest level of Fund support among all countries since March 26.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund on Tuesday approved an 18-month Stand-by Arrangement for Ukraine, with access equivalent to SDR 3.6 billion (about US$5 billion, or 179% of quota).
