Latvia's airBaltic resumes flights to Ukraine after almost one-year break

Kyiv-Riga flights are to be relaunched on March 17.

Latvian airline airBaltic has announced that it will gradually resume flights between Latvia and Ukraine on three key routes after almost one-year break.

That's according to the Ukrainian media outlet European Pravda, referring to the travel news portal Avianews on March 14.

On May 2, airBaltic will resume the Riga-Odesa connections, with a gradual increase in the number of flights to five per week.

On June 3, the Latvian airline plans to relaunch Riga-Lviv flights, which will be performed twice a week.

The flight between Riga and Kyiv was announced as year-round one, while the Odesa-Riga and Lviv-Riga flights are positioned as seasonal ones, just for the summer navigation period.

Now the airline operates regular flights from Vilnius to Kyiv, the publication said.

Before booking air tickets, passengers should make sure they are allowed to enter the country of destination. Today Latvia bans foreigners from entering the country for tourism purposes.
