Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, Dmytro Razumkov says a special fund will be created in the 2021 national budget to finance vaccination against COVID-19 and ensure pay rises for healthcare workers.
He made the comment during a morning TV show "Snidanok z 1+1" on December 16, as reported by the Ukrainian Parliament's press service.

"Initially, we had no plans to create a separate fund. During meetings with representatives of parliamentary factions and members of the government, the prime minister, and finance minister yesterday and the day before yesterday, we agreed to establish a special fund," he said.
"Money will most likely be transferred there based on the results of the first quarter [of 2021]. They will be allocated for vaccinations, support of doctors, including an increase in their salaries," he added.
According to Razumkov, the 2021 special fund will have less money than the 2020 Fund for Combating COVID-19, but it will be designed exclusively to finance measures against the coronavirus.
