Russia-installed Crimean authorities sell legendary winery for about US$1.5 mln

Russia continues "managing" assets on the occupied peninsula.

The Russia-installed Crimean authorities have sold the Koktebel premium winery at an auction to the limited liability company of the same name.

The Krym.Realii media outlet reported that the relevant announcement had appeared on the official website of Russia which publishes bidding results. The winery was sold for 110.2 million rubles (about US$1.5 million), the starting price was 100 million rubles (about US$1.3 million).

Two companies and one individual were qualified to bid at the auction: the tenant of the Koktebel Premium Winery LLC, Scientific and Engineering Center Сrystallcor from St. Petersburg, Russia, and individual Andrey Shklovsky, who is the founder of Bonusmall LLC in Perm, Russia.

The Koktebel winery was founded in 1879. It owns about 1,070 hectares of vineyards.

Earlier, the occupying authorities sold the Massandra wine-making association in Russia-occupied Crimea.
