MP comments on possible reshuffles in Cabinet

The lawmaker has named three officials in question.

Oleksandr Kachura, People's Deputy with the ruling Servant of the People faction, has commented on what he says will be upcoming reshuffles in the Cabinet of Ministers.

Yuriy Vitrenko will be appointed Deputy Prime Minister for Fuel and Energy, while Serhiy Shkarlet, the acting chief of the education ministry, will become minister, MP has told Ukraine 24 TV channel.

Head of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs Serhiy Bessarab may lose his post, the MP added.

"I believe that a relevant proposal is to be filed. There is no candidate [for replacement] yet, but decisions and proposals on this minister's dismissal have already matured in government."

Denys Shmygal was appointed Prime Minister on March 4, 2020, having replaced Oleksiy Honcharuk.

Vadym Prystaiko was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration; Oleksiy Reznikov was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories; and Mykhailo Fedorov became Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation.

In the latest reshuffle, in November 2020, Deputy Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko has been appointed to replace Acting Energy Minister Olha Buslavets.
