The sides also signed a deal to establish a joint space research lab.
The State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU) says Ukraine and China have signed the program of cooperation in space industry for 2021-2025, consisting of 69 joint projects totaling more than US$70 million.
The document was signed following a meeting of the Ukrainian-Chinese Sub-Commission on cooperation in the space field at the Commission on Cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the People's Republic of China, the SSAU's press service said on its website on October 22.
The sides also signed a deal to establish a joint space science laboratory and agreed to strengthen the exchange of information on space activities and inform each other about the implementation of cooperation programs in a timely manner.

On July 21, 2020, China successfully launched its first Mars probe, Tianwen-1, from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site on the coast of south China's island province Hainan.
