Poland supports Ukraine's ambitions as Eastern Europe's transit state – Duda

Modernizing logistical infrastructure and improving the quality of motorways will promote trade in the region.

Polish President Andrzej Duda has said his country supports Ukraine's ambitions as a transit hub in Eastern Europe.

The statement came as Duda was addressing the Ukrainian-Polish economic forum held in Odesa on October 13, which was also attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

"We'll be supporting Ukraine's ambitions in its development as a logistics transit country in Eastern Europe," Duda said.

According to Polish head of state, modernizing logistical infrastructure and improving the quality of motorways will promote trade in the region.

We support multilateral integration, and the best example of this is our Three Seas Initiative [Baltic, Adriatic, and Black Seas]. Although at this stage, only EU member states may participate in this format, the goal of the initiative extends far beyond the region. I hope that Ukraine can also take advantage of the Three Seas Initiative," he summed up.
