Zelensky, Bolsonaro discuss military-technical, defense cooperation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with his Brazilian counterpart Jair Bolsonaro, according to the press service of the President's Office.

The two leaders discussed cooperation in the military-technical and defense spheres, reads the report.

"In this context, preparations were noted for holding the Defense Industry Dialogue, which will allow considering in detail promising bilateral projects," the statement said.

Further cooperation in space exploration was separately considered during talks.

The priority areas of interaction between Ukraine and Brazil include trade, economic and investment spheres, in particular as regards the implementation of joint projects.

Zelensky and Bolsonaro also stressed the need to increase the volume of bilateral trade.

The interlocutors agreed to boost joint efforts to counter the consequences of the second COVID-19 wave, including in the issue of joint production of vaccines and medicines.

"Ukrainian pharmaceutical plants have the necessary modern capacities and are ready to work with Brazilian partners. This can become a new successful area of ​​our cooperation," the Ukrainian leader noted.
