Since July, the country has exported over 54 million tonnes of cereals, having almost completed the wheat export target.
Ukrainian farmers continue exporting grains amid the national quarantine, having already exported some 54.34 million tonnes of grains since the beginning of the 2019-2020 marketing year (MY, July 2019 - June 2020), which is 7.5 million tonnes year-on-year, the agrarian department of the economy ministry reported.
In particular, Ukrainians exported 20.16 million tonnes of wheat of the target 20.2 million tonnes.
Barley exports stood at4.8 million tonnes, maize – at 28.6 million tonnes, and rye – at 8,200 tonnes.

Wheat flour and other crop exports amounted to 314,500 tonnes, which is almost 45,000 tonnes more than in the same period last marketing year.
As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture, the 2019 harvest amounted to 75 million tonnes, of which 54 million tonnes will be exported to foreign markets.
Ukraine approved the maximum volume of wheat exports in the 2019-2020 marketing year at the level of 20.2 million tonnes.
