Residents of Diia City could be Ukrainian and international IT companies, high-tech businesses, investment funds, startups, and educational organizations.
Ukraine's Digital Transformation Ministry intends to create "Diia City," a free economic zone for IT companies.
"Diia City is a digital city within the country. For four months, we have been working on a free economic zone for creative businesses," the press service of the Diia portal wrote on Telegram.
In particular, Diia City will include the following components: investment legislation, special conditions for currency regulation, a service for implementing international accounting standards, a supervisory board from residents, simplified state regulation, a special procedure for inspections and searches, a special tax regime (the main tax rate in the zone is 10%, labor tax - 10%, import duty on equipment for research and development - 0%), modern education and the Office for Residents of the Economic Zone under the State Fiscal Service.

According to the ministry's plans, Diia City should cover the following areas: agrotech; artificial intelligence; cloud technology; UAVs; aviation and space technology; fin-tech; medical neural networks; advertising, marketing; trading floors; "Internet of Things (IoT)"; blockchain; outsourcing; animation; graphics; video; and cybersports.
