Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has listed three priorities of Ukraine's foreign economy for the next decade.

He made the comment during a discussion at the Kyiv International Economic Forum, titled "World after the pandemic. New opportunities for Ukraine" held on December 16, as reported by the ministry's press service on Thursday.

This implies maximum support for businesses that produce value-added products and seek to ship them abroad on a massive scale, focusing on high-tech products.

"The country must learn how to make money. We'll become a really strong state when we learn how to make money, bring it into the country, and keep funds here," he said.

The second priority is to ensure the security of Ukraine.

"When investors take into account various factors, security is one of the most important things for making investment decisions. So, I'm working on the country's security. I think this issue – sad to say – will be extremely important in the next decade," he added.

Building synergies with Ukrainian communities abroad is the third task of the government to develop the country's economy.

"Millions of Ukrainians who have left [the country] during different periods and whom we call 'foreign Ukrainians' should remain an integral part of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. There is a huge economic potential in the diaspora, and I don't mean just transferring the money earned abroad to their families or in support of their mother country, but building synergies for its economic development," he summed up.
