Every second industrial producer in Ukraine not to boost output in next three months – survey

Some 80% of enterprises do not plan a rise in selling prices.

About 46% of Ukrainian industrial enterprises do not expect a boost in production in the next three months, while 28% of enterprises predict production growth.

Such estimates were issued by the country's State Statistics Service in a survey.

In addition, 80% of Ukrainian enterprises do not expect a rise in selling prices of their produce in the next three months, and a mere 14% project that their prices will increase.

Also, 49% of enterprises say that in the next three months they will not export products and 30% forecast that the number of foreign orders for products will not change.

According to the State Statistics Service, 75% of industrial enterprises do not expect job cuts in the next three months, while 19% believe that there will be lay-offs.

The State Statistics Service says the study was conducted with the use of questionnaires to survey 1,500 enterprises.

As UNIAN reported earlier, industrial production in Ukraine in 2019 fell by 1.8% after an increase by 1.1% in 2018.

In May 2020, there was a 12.2% slowdown in industrial production in the country.
