"The number of unofficially employed people aged 15-70 recorded in the first three months of this year is about 3.5 million. This is one-fifth of the total number of employed Ukrainians," the TV news service TSN.ua said on July 6, referring to the statistics data. It is noted that rural residents (1.8 million) most often worked informally over the period under review. This includes 1.35 million women and 2 million men aged 15-70. As UNIAN reported earlier, the new Labor Code of Ukraine would provide for the possibility for employees to have an electronic employment record book. The Ukrainian government passed the relevant bill on November 27.
