The devices were seized over the abuse during the procurement.

The court ruling on the seizure of equipment caused outrage among the military since the detectives had no warrant for this procedural action. It is noted the air defense system cannot operate without the seized equipment.

There will be a probe into the detectives' actions that have actually jeopardized the country's security, a TSN correspondent said.

Earlier, on June 2, 2020, SBI officers conducted searches at the anti-aircraft missile brigades and seized the devices necessary for anti-aircraft missiles' guidance system.

The SBI charge officials with the abuse during the procurement of klystrons, high power microwave vacuum tubes. At the same time, the said court ruling does not mention the seizure, but only "the inspection of the A2860 military unit and subordinate anti-aircraft missile divisions."

The same procedural actions were carried out at anti-aircraft missile brigades in Odesa region (the A2800 military unit) and Kherson region (the A1836 military unit).

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received the first batch of U.S. Javelin anti-tank missiles.

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak said the Ukrainian military serving in the zone of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) in Donbas would get Javelin anti-tank systems.
