Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's economic advisor Oleh Ustenko has said Ukraine needs about US$10 billion to restore the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions after their reintegration.

"The preliminary estimate is about US$10 billion that will be needed to restore the uncontrolled territory. This is about 5-7% of our GDP," he told RFE/RL's Donbas.Realii project.
According to Ustenko, it will be necessary to create a fund, including for donor money, to restore the temporarily occupied territories after their reintegration.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov said Ukraine was developing an ambitious new economic strategy for the east of the country.
