The Ukrainian president assures Ukraine has passed the first stage of the epidemic with minimal losses.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said the domestic economy has suffered from the COVID-19 crisis less than those in many European countries.
"We have withstood the first stage and passed it with minimal losses. Yes, there is an expected reduction in the economy and GDP, but it has affected all states in the world. And compared to many European countries, our decline is smaller," he told members of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, during an annual State of the Nation Address on October 20, an UNIAN correspondent reports.
