Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the city rose by 244 in the past day.

According to Klitschko, 138 women aged 19 to 81 and 95 men aged 18 to 96 are among those infected.
Seven girls (from five to 17 years old) and four boys (from two to 16 years old) have tested positive.
Klitschko said 24 new patients had been hospitalized, while the rest are self-isolating, undergoing treatment at home under medical supervision.
Twenty-eight people recovered from the disease in the past day, he said.
In total, 4,759 Kyiv residents have already recovered.
The highest number of the new cases in Kyiv was registered in Obolonsky district (50), Darnytsky district (36), and Solomyansky district (28).
The total death toll in the city is 242 cases.
