As of today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 16,523.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the city rose sharply in the past day, that is, by 404.
"In the past day, another 404 residents of Kyiv tested positive for coronavirus, including 13 healthcare workers. There were seven fatalities," Klitschko wrote on Telegram on September 11. "As of today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 16,523."
According to Klitschko, 215 women aged 18 to 84 and 156 men aged 18 to 81 are among those infected.

Klitschko said 58 new patients had been hospitalized, while the rest are self-isolating, undergoing treatment at home under medical supervision.
One hundred sixty eight people recovered from the disease in the past day, he said.
In total, 5,170 Kyiv residents have already recovered.
The highest number of the new cases in Kyiv was registered in Darnytsky district (81), Desniansky district (64), and Dniprovsky district (53).
The total death toll in the city is 261 cases.
