Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the city rose by 453 in the past day.
"In the past day, another 453 residents of Kyiv tested positive for the coronavirus, including 21 healthcare workers. There were 13 fatalities," Klitschko said on Telegram on October 18.
"As of today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 30,463."
According to the city mayor, 250 women aged 24 to 89 and 175 men aged 18 to 82 are among those infected.
Fifteen girls (from two to 16 years old) and 13 boys (from one to 17 years old) have tested positive for COVID-19.

He added that 35 people had recovered in the past day.
In total, 10,696 Kyiv residents have already beaten the disease.
The highest number of the new cases in Kyiv was registered in Desniansky district (115), Dniprovsky district (58), and Obolonsky district (53).
