Ukraine on May 8 marks a Remembrance and Reconciliation Day

This date is set by the decree of President of Ukraine "On the celebration in 2015 of the 70th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism in Europe and the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II."

The symbol of the memory of the war victims in Ukraine became a red poppy, as in many European countries.

Memorial and commemorative events were held across Ukraine.
