On May 10, world’s largest cargo aircraft An-225 Mriya created by Kyiv-based Design Bureau Antonov in the late 1980s set on its commercial flight, first in 2016, to Australia.

The plane took off from Kyiv-Antonov airport in Hostomel (Kyiv region) to the Czech capital Prague, where it will start its first commercial flight to the Australian city of Perth.

An-225 has already landed in Prague, where it will load the generator with accompanying equipment weighing a total of 130 tons. From the Czech Republic a plane will set off to Australia, performing three technical landings on its route – in Turkmenistan, India, and Malaysia.
