Pickets and clashes in downtown Lviv
In the morning of June 9, Lviv's Market Square where the City Hall is located, saw several rallies united into one.
There were relatives of ATO soldiers demanding that the commanders dismiss those whose contracts have ended; animal rights activists, and market workers - all groups raising individua; demands to the city authorities.
Also Lviv protested against relative idleness of Mayor Sadoviy in the issue of putting out a fire at a Hrybovichy landfill, which took life of several firefighters.
Local authorities stepped up security measures near the City Hall. The entrance was cordoned off by a fence, and visit of tourists up the City Hall tower was limited.
At some point, clashes erupted between protesters and the law enforcers. One protester was reported to have been slightly injured.
