Roma residents moving from Loschynivka

A group of evicted Roma villagers have returned to their former village of Loschynivka to collect their belongings after locals pressed for their removal following a girl's death.

Their belongings were removed from only one house, BessarabiaInform reported.

The yard of the house was heavily guarded by police and special forces from the Shtorm battalion.

Village head Viktor Paskalov monitored the loading of the household goods onto a moving truck.

Locals did not interfere with the eviction. None of the villagers was at the scene during the moving process. The Roma individuals loaded their meagre belongings and dogs onto a truck provided by the village council and hurriedly left the village in a taxi accompanied by a police car.

It is not known whether the Roma villagers will remove the rest of their belongings.
